Rowan's first milk tooth

Rowan had a wobbly tooth for quite a while, which he was soooooo excited about.  Unfortunatly he lost in whilst out for the day with Nanny and Grandad, he doesn't know wether he swallowed it or lost it in a ball pool.  So when he got home he sat down and wrote a letter to the tooth fairy all by himself.  It said:

Dere tooth fere,
I loost my tooth,
soorry, love Rowan x

He spent ages writing it without help, so the kind tooth fairy left him a very shiny 10p (which is what he had asked for)

Warwick castle

At the end of July, on a really hot weekend we visited Birmingham.  We stayed with my cousin and his wife and visited some of my family that we haven't seen for a long time, and some the boys have never met.
On one of the lovely baking hot days we went to Warwick castle, which was awesome.  They had loads of stuff to watch and loads of activities for the kids to do.

The world's biggest trebuchet - this was amazing to watch.  It was powered by people walking around the giant hamster wheels drawing back the catapult.  It used to make people sick as the light would flash through the gaps.  So in medeival times they would use blind people to combat the sickness!

We stayed to watch the jousting contest, which was pretty full on.  All 3 boys loved it though!

The look of delight on their faces as they were told to shout 'Raarrggghhh' and stab their swords into the posts, twist the swords, chop off the heads, then the arms, then the legs

Then run at the target, again shouting 'RRRAAARRRGGGHHH!'

Being knighted as Sir Rowan and Sir Reuben.  Then they were told we had to be their servants for the rest of the day!

Rowan had to crop his potatoes for the grow your own spuds competition.  unfortunatly they weren't quite ready for cropping, but he was chuffed with his harvest!
