We made bread whilst still in our pyjamas, and it was scrumptious. We have ditched the old Tassajara in favour of Baking Bread with children book at the moment. Not making bread with the sponge method takes much less time and so far the reults have been preferred. Today it was rye, rice and rosemary, mmmmmm!
We made some lavender stuffed felt apples for my Dads birthday at Rowans request, he has also requested that at Grandads party on Sunday that he plays musical statues and pin the tail on the donkey! My Dad will be well chuffed!
Rowan is also really into activity books at the moment, and loves counting games, and especially mazes..
The bean house is now offically open for playing inside, its not as thick with foliage as I wished but its getting there and the boys love digging around inside it..
Our veggie patch is looking lovely at the moment, I am managing to keep on top of the weeds this year. But I have just had to pull up the first lot of spuds as the dreaded blight has returned, I am hoping that it hasn't spread to the second lot, which are looking lovely and healthy with beautiful little flowers at the moment.
Tristan managed to make the long promised see-saw today, with Rowans help..
We have been having great fun with the pavement chalks. We have made a road for the boys to ride their bikes along, complete with zebra crossing, traffic lights and stop sign. Rowan loves it and has asked that it doesn't rain tonight as it will wash away the road!
Oh yeah, favourite moment from today;
Lying on the grass with my two sparkly chickpeas, watching the clouds go past, singing 'Oats, Peas, Beans and Barley!'
