We are me; Mummy, otherwise known as Michelle, Big chickpea; Daddy, otherwise known as Tristan, Medium chickpea; Rowan and Baby chickpea Reuben. This blog was started as I thought I was starting to loose track of all the amazing day to day things my children learn and how we grow as a family. It is also here to keep family and friends up to date with our adventure of moving our life from the UK to Australia.

Home Ed day in the woods

For our last week of Home Ed group for the summer we met at a nearby woodland where we had a campfire and rope activities.  Tristan came along to set up some climbing lines and a zipline for the children.
It was great fun, the children loved it.  All the children got a chance to climb the tree, Rowan was a bit unsure, even going up with Daddy.  Reuben was straight up the tree into the canopy, Oh how two siblings can be so different!

We made a fire when we arrived and attempted to cook potatoes, apples and bread on the fire, lets just some say some were a bit well cooked, but it still nice to sit around fire in the woods.

Children running around the woods all afternoon, climbing trees, zooming on ziplines and making fire with a fire steel made for very happy and exhausted children and a great way to end the first half a year of the group running.

Reuben had a go at branch walking too!
