And no, we haven't found any oompa loopmas or Koala bears! But we have had lots of rain and yummy food.
We arrived yesterday evening and by the time we got out of the airport and into our taxi the Friday night traffic was at it's worst! So the hour journey from airport to hotel took over 2 hours, then when we arrived at Chinatown the market was in full swing and we discovered that the road our hotel shuts to vehicles at 5pm! So we had to walk with a freshly awoken Reuben (that means grumpy Reuben) and all of our luggage, which is a LOT! But we made it, people were really helpful and the hotel is great.
We went straight out for food, found a little Indian resturant, ate dosas, drank chai. The boys found the grossest looking drinks they could find (Rowans had jelly lumps in it!), then we headed back for a well needed sleep.
Then we woke up today very late and the rain came. When it rains here, it really rains and it's hot. But we braved it and headed out to the train station to take us across the city to the Petronas towers (the big twin towers that you always see in anything about Kuala Lumpur). It was too wet for the playground but we headed on in to the science museum. Well it was a museum about petroleum science, but the kids loved it!

It's raining, it's pouring

The view from our window, in the daytime when it's a road!

The river was so swollen when we went past, it was really close to the bottom of the bridge. The graffiti is awesome though

This was attempt number 3 at getting us all looking nice!

They really had camera monkiness today

We were all going to go into this Indian temple to watch puja (prayer time) but the noise coming out was deafening and both boys froze rigid, so Tristan went in on his own
|
He said it was amazing and he was really buzzed up coming out off the energy from inside the temple
|
Mmmmmm, dosas
