This weekend Tristan had the whole two days off! This was cause for celebration, as the end of winter and beginning of springtime is his busiest time of year. He has been working flat out over the last few weeks and we haven't seen him much. But this weekend he had no work planned! So we planned to get out as much as possible and have lovely days together.
The boys decided to start the weekend off with 'Nappy Head Racing!'
Then we headed on to Godrevy Beach Cafe for Mothers Day lunch a day early, with both our mums and my brother. It was a beautiful, sunny and warm day and the beach cafe was packed, but everyone enjoyed sitting around in the sun, watching the kids play whilst we waited for our very yummy food.
Rowan had great fun rolling into the little sandpits!
Reuben made a friend, I don't know what they were looking at but it looks interesting!

These two boys are always playing rough and tumble, I don't know where it has come from, maybe its being two brothers, who knows but most of the time they love it.
Reuben is particulary boisterous, perhaps its having an older brother. He is most happy when throwing objects at people, he just doesn't get the idea of 'gentle hands'!
Rowan is most happy when running outside, he gets this special look of glee on his face like he's going to explode with happiness!
After lunch we all headed off for a walk to the beach. the nearest beach to the cafe is a pebbly beach, but very sheltered. It was so warm.

Rowan can be so full on and crazy sometimes, but at other times he can be so peaceful and at one with his present surroundings
After our time on the beach we headed back to the carpark when Rowan decided that paths were boring and legged it up the cliff! Tristan went after him to be followed by cries of ' mee, mee too!' Wherever Rowan and Daddy goes the Boo has to go too!
And as if that wasn't enough for one day, we had been invited out for an evening of skittles with Tristans archery group. Which was great fun, the bowling place is a little skittle alley in the middle of nowhere and aswell as basic skittles (no uv lights and loud music here!) they have the biggest selection of board games you have ever seen. Rowan LOVES it here. One of the archery members gave up his chance of a proper game to show the boys how to play
A lovely day was had by all, very tiring but nice to spend a whole day as a family.
