We are me; Mummy, otherwise known as Michelle, Big chickpea; Daddy, otherwise known as Tristan, Medium chickpea; Rowan and Baby chickpea Reuben. This blog was started as I thought I was starting to loose track of all the amazing day to day things my children learn and how we grow as a family. It is also here to keep family and friends up to date with our adventure of moving our life from the UK to Australia.

Building, Rescue and Pirates

Rowan and I finally got around to doing building with spaghetti and marshmallows

He managed to build 3 levels to his skyscraper

This is momnet just as it collasped, it did manage to hold to car on top but it wasn't very level so it drove off!  This was the second attempt to put the car on but I think we had knocked it too much.
We had been meaning to do that experiment for ages and we are so glad that we have now.  After we went and looked through some of our old travelling photos for different tall structures, Rowan found the London Eye and the Petrona towers in Malayasia.  The whole experiment has been really useful in loads of ways, even down to building a den in the living room with the sofa cushions!

We have also been to the Maritime Museum, they have a new exhibition - Search and Rescue.  It was awesome, a real helicopter in the museum.  We will be going back soon.

They are also building a bronze age panel boat from a huge English Oak.  They are building it using only bronze age tools, they reckon it will be completed in September.

We will be looking in regularly to see it progress

And a bonus of our trip, The Matthew, a Tall ship moored up outside the museum.  We went on for a mooch around, the boys were well chuffed.
